Transportation Worker Identification Credential reminder The United States Congress has passed legislation requiring the Department of Defense to tighten security requirements for unescorted drivers entering military installations and port facilities. All drivers entering these facilities are subject to Transportation Security Administration regulations. Drivers without a Transportation Worker Identification Card will have to wait to be escorted and accompanied by a TWIC cardholder at their own expense. Neglecting to obtain a TWIC card could result in long delays for load pickup and delivery. Enrollment and issuance of the Transportation Worker Identification Card will continue through the 2008 calendar year. For more information visit the TSA website at www.tsa.gov/twic. To complete the application, click on the “pre-enrollment” link. If you need further assistance contact Pacer Central Dispatch. |
